What is Tea Tour?

My name is Dani and I am obsessed with the thought of tea time.

I’m not a tea connoisseur by any means (ex. I buy tea bags on the regular with no shame), but I absolutely love the experience of a cup of warm, sweet, English breakfast tea paired with a scones, macarons, and crustless, dainty sandwiches.

Growing up, I watched my dad drink some combination of a black tea with cream, honey, hazelnut or vanilla creamer, and milk every day.  Honestly, I don’t think there was much actual tea in his cup, but it was a time for him to relax or unwind.

Although I never had a tea party growing up, I loved reading about it in the American Girl books (Biscuit over queen’s cakes... really, Felicity?), the Little House series (I always wanted to feel grown up and drink cambric tea too 😕). To this day, I still get strangely excited when seeing anyone holding a teacup on screen.

Yes, Downton Abbey was heaven for me.

I associate tea time with comfort, safety, and a moment to appreciate life.  This blog is my personal quest on finding the best tea rooms that provide the ideal tea experience... and I plan on eating some delicious food too 😊
